Blending playful iconography with brand-driven naming, the menu highlights signature drinks crafted for NIQ and Skai, striking a balance between thematic fun and professional polish.

Featuring custom illustrations and bold typography, the napkins brought the voodoo-inspired theme to life in a tactile, memorable way—serving as both functional elements and keepsakes that reinforced the event’s visual identity.

To celebrate the partnership between NIQ and Skai during the Digital Shelf Summit 2025, I created the visual identity and event assets for The Happiest Hour—a cocktail reception inspired by the mystique and charm of New Orleans voodoo culture. The goal was to foster casual yet memorable connections between clients, partners, and internal teams in an immersive, brand-aligned environment.
Objective:
Develop a cohesive suite of event visuals that blend the playful energy of a themed cocktail party with the professionalism of a B2B networking event.
Deliverables included:
-Custom cocktail menu (print + screen) featuring signature drinks themed around each brand
-Branded napkins using iconography from the drink names and illustrations
-Illustrated invitation (print and digital) setting the tone for the event with typographic play and vibrant iconography
Design Considerations:
The main challenge was to balance the visual richness of a voodoo concept with the clean, corporate tone expected at a business event. I utilised NIQ's palette of blues paired with playful illustrations and bold, editorial-style typography. The custom drink icons added a whimsical touch while reinforcing brand-specific signature cocktails (e.g., the SkaiGarita and NIQ Voodoo).
Outcome:
The visual suite invited curiosity and participation while maintaining brand clarity. Attendees praised the memorability and delight of the cohesive visual experience, which successfully elevated a simple cocktail hour into a curated brand moment.
